SK2 Heat Shield
Add a little air gap between you and your SK2.
I found my SK2 was getting warm and causing me to feel uncomfortable during my site survey. This SK2 Heat Shield is intended to move the SK2 away from your body:
Reducing the heat transferred into you
Allow air flow behind the SK2
(Potentially) reduce the effect of body shielding during data collection
The ‘paddle’ towards the bottom of the plate is (optionally) intended to slip behind your belt to reduce swinging.
Installation
Installing this requires removal of 6x machine screws from the back side of the SK2 unit, modifying your SK2 in this way is obviously not supported or encouraged by Ekahau, so please only consider doing this if you are happy to accept total responsibility for the consequences.
Product contains:
SK2 Heat Shield (PETG 3D printed accessory)
6x pan head machine screws
Got access to a 3D printer?
I will post the model files for this product, if there is any interest in this concept.
